or AlMgSi and AlSi alloys, to achieve fine grain structures throughout the foundry casting alloys, faster casting speeds, also improved mechanical properties
and enhanced ductility in aluminium foundry alloys. With grain refiner Al-5Ti-1B, AlTiB 5/1, AlTiB 3/1, AlTiB 5/0.6, Aluminium-Titanium-Carbon AlTiC 3/0.15
added into molten aluminum for a grain refinement purpose, thus evenly distributed particle size under microscope obtained.
Compared to Al-Ti-B, Aluminium Titanium Carbon AlTiC Grain Refiner Master Alloyshows more advantages on high strength Al alloys containing Zr, Cr, Mn elements
eg. 7xxx aerospace alloys, and no "poisoning effect" detected
. TiC particles is smaller and less tendency to agglomerate in the melt than TiB2 particles.
