aluminium processing, grain refiner TiBAl is very critical for aluminum grain size control, it's a routing industrial process for casting/ wrought aluminum,
particularly DC casting, by addition of grain refining agent AlTiBor to molten aluminum, typical masteralloy for aluminum grain refinement is Al-5%Ti-1%B,
it improves performance and surface, refine/reduce the grain size and improve grain distribution, eliminates hot tearing in cast structures of aluminium billets
or AlMgSi and AlSi alloys, to achieve fine grain structures throughout the foundry casting alloys, faster casting speeds, also improved mechanical properties
and enhanced ductility in aluminium foundry alloys. With grain refiner Al-5Ti-1B, AlTiB 5/1, AlTiB 3/1, AlTiB 5/0.6, Aluminium-Titanium-Carbon AlTiC 3/0.15
added into molten aluminum for a grain refinement purpose, thus evenly distributed particle size under microscope obtained.
Compared to Al-Ti-B, Aluminium Titanium Carbon AlTiC Grain Refiner Master Alloyshows more advantages on high strength Al alloys containing Zr, Cr, Mn elements
eg. 7xxx aerospace alloys, and no "poisoning effect" detected. TiC particles is smaller and less tendency to agglomerate in the melt than TiB2 particles.
